"Good tea deserves good company, wherever you are."

Ding ware white porcelain was one of the five great kilns of the Song Dynasty and the first to enter the imperial palace for official use. Its defining quality was never the glaze alone but the warmth of the white beneath it, soft and ivory rather than cold. This set draws from that same tradition.

The lotus pattern is carved into the porcelain before glazing, a technique rooted in Song Dynasty craftsmanship. In both Buddhism and Daoism, the lotus carries a consistent meaning: purity and integrity, something beautiful that rises from ordinary ground. The glaze is translucent and paper thin, so the white you see comes entirely from the clay body itself.

Everything fits into a handcrafted yunjin brocade pouch, a fabric tradition from Nanjing with over a thousand years of history. Compact enough for a train journey. Complete enough for a proper gongfu tea session.
